During the Pandemic, most organizations had to switch from working in the office to working remotely overnight, with little time to strategically consider how to adapt to this new way of working. But for the remote work model to reach its full potential, it is important to move away from having a "remote forced" position and instead evolve into a company that pursues a "remote first" strategy. Transferring the previous in-office structures to the remote model cannot work and will not lead to success in the medium and long term. Remote work should therefore not be understood as a circumstance that one has to cope with and adapt to. The opposite is the case. It should be understood as a model that offers completely new possibilities that must be courageously tested and adopted. Only in this way the model is able to thrive and bring previously unimagined opportunities to light.
