Remote offers optional health benefits plans to team members in Ireland. Companies can choose between two local plans (Guide 2 or Guide 3), or they may choose not to offer any benefits. These benefits, while not mandatory in Ireland, must be offered to all team members in the country if selected. Additionally, extended dental coverage is available as an add-on to any of these plans.

Remote offers an optional pension plan.
If you would like to offer the pension plan you must offer it to all Irish employees on your team.
Contribution rates are:
You will have the option to choose between 3 contribution levels:
1. Matching up to 5%
2. Matching up to 3%
3. Matching up to 1%
Starting January 1, 2025, we are expanding our pension options to provide even more flexibility with two new top-up options:
Top-Up Plan (3% Tier): You match the employee's contribution up to 5% and add an extra 3%. For example, if an employee contributes the maximum of 5%, the total employer contribution would be 8% (5% matched + 3% additional), totaling a 13% combined contribution.
Top-Up Plan (5% Tier): You match the employee's contribution up to 5% and add an extra 5%. So, if an employee contributes the maximum of 5%, the total employer contribution would be 10% (5% matched + 5% additional), totaling a 15% combined contribution.
We are excited to launch a new Life Insurance plan effective January 2025 via Irish Life, which will allow you to choose between 2x or 4x of team members' annual salary for coverage.
The estimated cost will be approximately 0.5% of the insured value. Details will be confirmed once we finalize enrollment.
Life Insurance package includes the payout premium of 2 or 4 times annual salary plus Bereavement Support for family
What is Bereavement Support from Irish Life?
Bereavement Support from Irish Life is a free service available to the spouse/partner and/or adult dependent children between age 18 and 21 of a deceased member. They can avail of 6-8 sessions of bereavement counselling with experienced therapists, either online or face-to-face.
What is the free cover limit? Irish Life provides a cover limit of €1,800,000.
Sick Pre-existing conditions: If an employee has been on sick leave for more than 14 days, their life insurance coverage will start once they return to work
Is there any age restriction? Up to 65 years.

Customers may elect to offer the mental health program benefits to their teams and can choose among 5 different plans. If one of the mental health benefit is offered, the employee will automatically be enrolled and you will be charged for it monthly. However, employees have the option to opt out of the benefit. If they choose to do so, they will be unenrolled and charges will stop effective from the next month.
It is essential to be aware that in certain countries, Mental Health benefits may be categorized as 'Benefits in Kind' (BIK). This categorization means that the monthly premiums, which the company pays for the benefit, might be counted as part of the employee's taxable income according to the local tax laws.

Customers can offer Global Business Travel Insurance to selected employees, choosing from five levels of coverage. This insurance can be provided on an individual basis, without needing to offer it to the entire team. However, the chosen plan must be consistent for all eligible employees within the same country. Employees also have the option to opt-out, and if they do, their coverage and charges will end in the following billing cycle.
