We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of our data infrastructure. As a key member of our data team, you will architect and build robust, scalable data systems that support advanced analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset to drive data initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance data pipelines and ETL processes.
Design and implement data models, data lakes, and data warehouses to support business and analytics needs.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to deliver data-driven solutions and insights.
Lead the development and enforcement of data governance, quality, and security best practices.
Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to team growth and technical excellence.
Optimize data infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Evaluate and implement new data technologies and tools to improve data capabilities.
Ensure data compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of building large-scale data systems.
Expert-level SQL skills and deep knowledge of data modeling and database design (OLTP and OLAP).
Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for data engineering tasks.
Extensive experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Prefect).
Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and services like Redshift, BigQuery, S3, or Data Lake.
Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Hadoop).
Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.

Preferred:

Experience with CI/CD tools and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Experience working in agile development environments.
Background in supporting machine learning or real-time analytics workflows.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
