Position: Vice President of Investments

Location: Flexible / Deribit Offices (LA, or Remote)

Deribit is a leading cryptocurrency derivatives exchange specializing in Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) futures and options. Renowned for its high-frequency, low-latency trading infrastructure, Deribit serves professional and institutional traders worldwide.

Role Overview:
The VP of Investments will oversee the company’s strategic investments, portfolio management, and financial asset allocation. Strong experience in crypto is a plus but not a requirement. The role requires a solid understanding of investments, derivatives, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the company’s investment strategy, including digital assets, derivatives, and strategic partnerships.
Manage and optimize the company’s investment portfolio across multiple asset types.
Conduct due diligence on potential investment opportunities and partners.
Collaborate with trading, risk, and finance teams to ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
Provide executive leadership with reporting on portfolio performance, risk exposure, and market trends.
Explore and evaluate opportunities in emerging markets and institutional investments.

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in investment management, trading, or financial strategy.
Strong understanding of derivatives and asset management.
Excellent analytical skills with a track record of successful investment decisions.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred:

Experience in crypto, blockchain, or fintech (not required).
Background in institutional trading or venture investments.
Knowledge of global investment regulations.
Strategic vision for expanding investment operations in emerging markets.
