About This Role at Momentum

Momentum is a mid-sized, high growth digital commerce company dedicated to building responsible, data-driven platforms and solutions that power the future of digital commerce. We are seeking an experiencedTax Senior Analyst to join a growing tax department. We’re looking to hire someone with corporate and/or partnership income tax experience, or indirect tax experience. Ideally, someone that’s driven, works well in a team atmosphere, and is looking to grow their career in a rapidly growing company & tax department. Key Responsibilities

Tax Preparation & Review: Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns, extensions, and quarterly estimates for various entity types.
Tax Compliance: Maintain tax calendars, track deadlines, and ensure adherence to all tax laws and regulations.
Tax Research & Planning: Conduct research on complex tax issues, analyze tax treatments, and assist with tax planning to minimize liabilities.
Audit Support: Assist with tax audits, prepare workpapers, and respond to inquiries from tax authorities like the IRS.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements for book-to-tax adjustments and identify discrepancies.
Process Improvement: Recommend and implement procedures to enhance workflow and efficiency.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of relevant experience in public accounting or corporate tax.
Strong understanding of either corporate income tax or indirect taxes.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
CPA license or progress towards it is often preferred.

Strong Excel skills

The base salary range for this position may vary based on location. Actual compensation will be determined by role, level, and location, considering additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. For roles eligible for remote work, the base salary is tailored to the designated work location. In addition to the base salary, candidates may be eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus, determined based on both the company's business performance and individual contributions.
