Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership & Team Management
Lead three cross-functional product teams (6 engineers: developers + QA testers) through 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and career development
Recruit, hire, and onboard engineering talent as the organization scales
Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture focused on delivery excellence
Agile & Process Management
Serve as Scrum Master, facilitating all sprint ceremonies and coaching teams on agile principles
Track sprint metrics and KPIs; remove organizational impediments
Release & Quality Management
Plan and coordinate all software releases, including beta testing programs and release documentation
Lead QA strategy, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and rigorous defect tracking
DevOps & Infrastructure
Manage CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and cloud/on-premise infrastructure
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with VP of Product & Engineering on strategic alignment and communicate transparently with all stakeholders

Qualifications

Experience
8+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on development background
3+ years in engineering leadership or management roles
Proven track record managing multiple concurrent product development projects
Experience leading teams through full software development lifecycle (planning to deployment)
Deep hands-on experience with agile/scrum methodologies and DevOps practices
Technical Skills
Proficiency in modern programming languages and technology stacks
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.)
Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL)
Experience with testing frameworks, automation tools, and monitoring systems
Leadership & Management
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, develop, and retain engineering talent
Strong project management skills
Track record of building high-performing, collaborative team cultures
Strong accountability mindset with focus on execution and results communication
Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all organizational levels
Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence without authority
