The Role

As a Payment Account Specialist, you’ll support RentRedi’s underwriting team by reviewing payment accounts, monitoring transactions, and assisting with fraud prevention efforts. You don’t need prior payments experience—strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a willingness to learn are most important!

This role is well-suited for someone who:

Can manage a steady volume of work while maintaining accuracy

Responsibilities

Review and approve payment accounts to ensure compliance with RentRedi’s security standards
Monitor transactions for potential fraud and escalate suspicious activity when needed
Analyze payment trends to identify irregularities or risk patterns
Communicate with landlords and tenants via email to clarify payment-related questions
Document findings clearly so internal teams can understand decisions and next steps
Work closely with internal teams (Support, Engineering, Product) to share insights and support risk mitigation efforts
Assist with documentation and reporting related to fraud and payment trends

What We're Looking For

Required

Strong written and spoken English communication skills
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to follow structured review processes consistently
Comfort handling repetitive, high-volume tasks without sacrificing accuracy
Willingness to learn and apply new guidelines and tools
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment

Bonus (Not Required, But Nice to Have!)

Experience in fraud prevention, payments, or financial risk assessment
Familiarity with payment processing platforms or property management software
Understanding of chargebacks, returns, or compliance concepts (BSA/AML, NACHA, PCI)
