Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Financial Auditor to lead financial audits and financial statement reviews. This role requires a strong understanding of audit methodology, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance. The ideal candidate will manage multiple client engagements, oversee audit planning and execution, and ensure the accuracy of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

Audit & Financial Statement Reviews

● Lead and oversee financial audits and reviews in accordance with GAAP, SSARS, and applicable regulatory standards.

● Review financial statements for accuracy, compliance, and completeness, ensuring proper disclosures.

● Guide and support junior auditors, reviewing their work and providing technical feedback.

● Identify financial risks, control deficiencies, and reporting inconsistencies, providing recommendations to clients.

● Ensure audit workpapers and documentation adhere to professional standards and firm policies.

● Coordinate audit fieldwork and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Client Advisory & Relationship Management

● Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights on financial controls, compliance, and audit preparation.

● Communicate audit findings and financial statement review results clearly and professionally.

● Provide guidance on process improvements related to financial reporting and compliance.

● Collaborate with startups and growing businesses to ensure investor-ready financials and scalable accounting practices.

Required Qualifications

● CPA, CIA, or CFE certification (preferred).

● 3+ years of experience in auditing and financial statement reviews.

● Strong knowledge of GAAP, SSARS, and audit standards.

● Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.

● Proficiency in Google Sheets, Google Workspace, and audit/accounting software.

● Ability to analyze financial data, identify risks, and provide strategic recommendations.

● Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and managing audit teams.

● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a client-focused approach.

Preferred Qualifications

● Strong ability to analyze and reconstruct incomplete or disorganized financial records.
