We're searching for a skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer to join us in building platforms that will transform how vets diagnose and treat animals.

About the Role

As a Full Stack Developer, you'll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining all aspects of our platform, from the user interface that vets interact with to the backend systems that power the AI models and manage data. You'll be involved in the entire development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, working closely with a AI/ML engineers and head of IT to bring our vision to life.

Responsibilities

· Frontend Development:

o Design and develop intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for our web and mobile applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular).

o Translate designs and wireframes into clean, efficient, and reusable code.

o Ensure cross-device compatibility and responsiveness of the user interface.

o Implement user authentication and authorization mechanisms.

· Backend Development:

o Develop and maintain robust and scalable APIs to connect the frontend to our AI models and database.

o Build efficient backend systems for data management, user authentication, and other core functionalities.

o Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.

o Optimize application performance and ensure security best practices are followed.

· Database Management:

o Design and implement database schemas for storing and managing veterinary data, user information, and AI model outputs.

o Write efficient database queries and optimize database performance.

o Ensure data integrity and security.

· Collaboration:

o Work closely with AI/ML engineers to integrate AI models into the platform and ensure seamless data flow.

o Work with internal stakeholders and non-technical members of staff.

o Work closely with product managers to bring new tech to life.

o Collaborate with designers to implement user interfaces that are both visually appealing and functionally effective.

o Participate in code reviews and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing and best practices.

Expectations

· Proven Experience: 8+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a similar role.

· Frontend Expertise: Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular).

· Backend Skills: Experience with backend development using Python (Django, Flask) or Node.js.

· Database Knowledge: Familiarity with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).

· API Development: Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.

· User Management: Experience in creating user admin systems, payment integration (Stripe), profile and account management.

· Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and deploying applications in cloud environments.

· Version Control: Proficiency with Git or other version control systems.

· Testing and Debugging: Experience with writing unit tests and debugging code.

· Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Bonus Points

· Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Docker, CI/CD).

· Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.

· Experience with building healthcare or medical applications.

· Passion for animal welfare and improving veterinary care.
