About the Opportunity

As a Principal Information Security Engineer, you will lead the planning, design, and build of security architectures. You’ll partner closely with peers to implement and enforce corporate cybersecurity policies and procedures, ensuring the security, compliance, and risk mitigation of the organization’s technology infrastructure and data assets. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to guide technical direction across teams.

This is a remote role for applicants based in Canada or USA.

Job Duties

Lead the development and implementation of security architectures across network and computer systems
Own the installation and configuration of network hardware and software
Oversee network monitoring by continuously identifying and addressing potential security threats across LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, and related devices
Lead vulnerability assessments across systems and applications
Direct incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, mitigation, and post-incident analysis
Coach and mentor junior network engineers
Influence multiple areas within the domain, with potential to impact the broader department’s strategic direction

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Deep professional expertise in Information Security architecture and cybersecurity procedures
Ability to lead and implement solutions to complex, unscoped problems
Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate with key contacts outside immediate area of expertise
Experience coaching and developing junior peers
Proven ability to set technical direction for teams
Comfortable operating with a high level of independence

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
8–10 years of experience in Information Security engineering

The base salary range for this position is $154,620 - $171,800 USD for US residents OR $141,750 - $157,500 CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
