THE ROLE

We are looking for a driven and well-connected Business Development Manager to expand Wendit's footprint in the mining and industrial sectors across Africa and beyond.

You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities in equipment procurement, spare parts supply, technical services, and project contracting working directly with the CEO and senior leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify and develop new client relationships in mining, oil & gas, and heavy industry
Generate qualified leads for industrial equipment supply, maintenance contracts, and technical procurement
Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting → qualification → proposal → negotiation → closing
Represent Wendit at industry events, trade fairs, and client meetings
Build and maintain a structured pipeline (CRM-based reporting)
Coordinate with technical and procurement teams to structure competitive offers
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and tender opportunities

PROFILE

3–7 years of B2B sales or business development experience in mining, energy, or industrial equipment
Proven track record of closing deals in African markets — West Africa experience is a strong plus
Strong network among mining operators, EPCs, or procurement departments
Self-starter, results-oriented, comfortable working autonomously in a remote setup
Fluent in English; French is a strong advantage
Proficient with CRM tools and pipeline management
