About the remote influencer report
Each year we publish an updated version that profiles the top 150 remote influencers. Whether you are new to remote work, merely curious, or an experienced remote professional, this report showcases today’s leading thought leaders in the remote-work arena. To make it as practical as possible, we include resources these individuals helped create, links to their social profiles, and icons showing if they are speakers or published authors. We hope it inspires ideas, reveals opportunities and keeps your curiosity alive.
Who are the leading remote work influencers in 2024?
The report highlights exceptional leaders who deliver genuinely transformative insights for anyone seeking the best in remote work leadership. We divide the report into three influencer types: Remote Innovators, Enablers, and Accelerators.

What makes the remote influencer report unique?
This report focuses on people committed to transforming the workplace. We examined how they have advanced the shift towards more flexible working and how they continue to drive change. Some have founded companies that provide essential tools or training for effective remote work. Others concentrate on promoting a remote-first world across every available communication channel.
Everyone included in our report is deeply passionate about remote work. They do the groundwork to inspire and support others, continually learning and refining how they share ways to embrace remote work and the tools that empower people.
How the report is compiled
Each year we begin by reviewing our earlier Remote Influencer Reports to identify which previously named influencers continue to make a significant impact on remote work. We also review nominations of remote-work advocates collected from our global community throughout the year.
We then assemble a list of 225 influencers using the following criteria to judge whether an individual qualifies for inclusion:
To finalise the list, our expert judging panel reviews influencers in each category (innovators, enablers or accelerators) and votes based on their experience and insight. The result is a top 150 list — 50 individuals per category — representing leaders in the remote work movement.
- Are they advocating remote and flexible work practices?
- Are they actively driving change or influencing others?
- Do they demonstrate innovation or disruptive thinking?
- Do they offer accessible advice and guidance?
