Gender pay gap reporting — Ireland
Gender representation within our Ireland workforce
For internal employees, we operate a strict framework in which pay decisions rely only on objective criteria — role level, scope, criticality and individual performance. This approach removes bias from remuneration choices and supports pay equity and meritocracy.
Remote’s external employees
As a Temporary Employment Agency (TEA) in Ireland, Remote handles employment-related legal obligations for our client companies. From payroll processing to tax filings and compliance with local employment law, we make certain that all legal requirements are satisfied. We refer to these workers as ‘External Employees’; they are included, alongside our internal staff, in our gender pay gap reporting population.
Remote has limited influence over compensation frameworks for External Employees. We ensure that clients comply with agency workers’ rules, which require External Employees’ pay packages to be comparable with those of permanent staff; however, this limits our ability to address pay gaps among External Employees. Pay is primarily set by the client.
