Refer a Friend – Terms & Conditions

These Refer a Friend terms (the “Program Terms”) govern Remote's "Refer a Friend" referral program (the "Program") and are subject to the Remote Terms of Service (located at https://remote.com/en-ie/policy/terms-of-service, and incorporated herein by reference). The Program is run by Remote Europe Holding B.V. ("Remote", "We", "Us", “Our”). By taking part, you ("Referrer", "You", “Your”) agree to these Program Terms.

1. How do I take part in the Program?

  • The Program is available through the "Refer & Earn" widget inside the Remote application. There is no public sign-up available.

  • You can't take part in the Program if doing so would breach Your own employer's policies or any law that applies to You (see Section 6).

2. Who can You refer to the Program?

  • Net-new companies only; the referred company can't be an existing Remote customer.

  • You can't refer a company to Us that is already talking to Our sales team or is at the demo stage.

  • You can't refer Yourself, Your company, or accounts You control. No fake, duplicate, or incentivised sign-ups are allowed.

3. How do Program referrals work?

  1. Share Your unique referral link from the widget (via direct link, email invite, or copy-paste).

  2. The company You refer then books a demo with Us through Your link and goes through Our normal sales process.

  3. If the company You refer to Us becomes a paying Remote customer and stays active, you earn a reward (see Section 4).

  4. A referral remains open for six (6) months. This means that the company that You refer to  book a demo with Remote must do so within six (6) months of contacting Us through your link.

4. How are rewards paid in the Program?

You earn $150 per successful referral, and there is no limit to the number of referrals You can make.

  • Rewards are paid via the Program's reward platform. Credits apply to your company's Remote account, are non-transferable, and can't be exchanged for cash.

  • You're responsible for any tax due on rewards You receive.

5. How will Remote keep the Program fair?  (anti-bribery)

This Program is a thank-you for genuine word-of-mouth, not a payment to influence anyone's buying decision. So:

  • When you refer someone, let them know that You may receive a reward. Don't present Your recommendation as independent or impartial if it isn't.

  • The referred party may receive a per-product discount for the first 12 months of Remote services.

6. Your confirmations

By taking part in the Program, You represent and confirm that:

  • You're allowed to participate and receive a reward under applicable law and Your own company’s policies (including any conflict-of-interest or anti-bribery rules), and doing so doesn't breach any duty You owe to anyone, in or outside of Your company.

  • You're not a government or public official, and You're not acting on behalf of one.

  • Everything You tell us about a referral is accurate.

7. Fraud and abuse

All referrals are tied to an authenticated product user. We run automated checks at the point a reward is triggered (e.g. confirming the referred company is genuinely new and uses a different email domain from Yours). We can withhold or reverse rewards at our discretion, and can remove You from the Program, if we suspect You of fraud, abuse, or a breach of these terms.

8. General Terms

  • We can modify, pause, or end the Program, or update these terms, at any time. Material changes will be communicated.

  • We may decline or withhold any reward where we have a reasonable compliance, legal, or fraud concern.

  • We keep records of referrals and rewards paid.

  • The Program is void where prohibited by law.

  • You may not assign any of the rights or duties under these Program Terms without Our prior written consent.

  • If any provision of these Program Terms is held to be illegal, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision is agreed to have effect to the extent possible to reflect its original intent. The remainder of these Program Terms will remain valid and enforceable.

  • In the event of any conflict between these Program Terms and the Remote Terms of Service, the latter will control.

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of laws principles. The courts of Amsterdam have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or matter arising from these Program Terms.
