Struggling to deal with a mountain of expense paperwork at the end of each month? Want to save time and effort — and avoid unnecessary stress?

We’re excited to launch the new Remote mobile apps for Android and iOS, designed to help people employed through Remote manage their work expenses anytime, anywhere.

Get the app now. Search for 'Remote Global HR' on the App Store and Google Play Store now.

Let’s dig in and look at what you can achieve with the Remote app today.

Create and manage expenses

Whether you claim regular expenses for travel, make learning and development purchases, or have an agreed co-working space budget, managing your expenses is just another task to add to your ever-growing admin to-do list.

We consistently see that employees are hoarding receipts and panicking at the end of the month trying to submit them all. Our new mobile app makes it easy to create and complete expenses on the go, so you’re always up-to-date.

It’s also important that we receive timely and accurate expense reports, which can impact cash flow and sometimes have tax implications.

The new Remote mobile apps make managing expenses as simple as 1-2-3.

  1. Snap a photo of your receipt or upload file straight from the app. You can also add details manually if you don’t have a receipt to hand.

  2. AI completes your expense report for you. Using the latest in image recognition technology, we’ll automatically extract key details like the company name, date, price, and any tax amounts. You can add any missing information before submitting your claim.

  3. Get reimbursed. Expense requests are approved before claims are reimbursed as usual through your Remote payslip. You can view the status of expense claims in the mobile app, and get notifications to keep you in the loop.

There’s no need to log onto Remote on the web to make changes: you can update expense details, and add photos or files to existing claims all in the palm of your hand too.

View personal details and employment information

To ensure compliance with local and international labor, financial, and tax regulations, your personal information must be up-to-date at all times.

Now you can check your details on the go, including your official job title and contract information, salary and bank account details, and emergency contact information.

All of your information is safely and securely stored. You can only access your Remote account after logging in with your email address and password, and entering your two-factor authentication code that will be sent to you by email. You can even secure the app even further by setting a unique passcode, or use your phone’s biometric authentication to log in with your fingerprint or face recognition.

Our commitment to creating great employee experiences

At Remote, we’re on a mission to simplify how companies employ global talent and open up the world of work for every person.

While there’s no single answer to building productive, engaged, long-lasting working relationships, we know that ensuring your team has a frictionless experience is paramount.

Today, the new Remote mobile app helps you create and manage expenses and view your personal information. Over the coming months, we’ll be improving the app to help you do more, all on the go and in your pocket.

From effortless onboarding and on-demand access to payslips, to simple PTO and expense management, we’re dedicated to delivering an unparalleled employee experience, ready for the future of work.
