At Remote, we’re always working hard to improve our services. Whether its EOR, HRIS, Contractor Management, Remote Talent, or Global Payroll, we are always listening, evaluating, and making improvements — big and small.
This month, we’ve made changes that improve your workflows, with less screens and fewer clicks to input or find information. We’ve simplified expense approval and onboarding, and improved time off summaries. And, perhaps most importantly, we’ve automated the addition of local national holidays.
We’ve made a lot of other changes, too. But, ultimately, Remote is always thinking about new ways to make your HR journey easier. As such, we'd also love to hear from you. Please let us know what you think, and be sure to share your thoughts on any improvement that makes your life better, no matter the size. You can tell us on social media, reach out to your Remote rep, or get in touch with the team. We look forward to hearing from you!
In the meantime, let’s take a closer look at what’s new.
We’ve made major improvements to the expense approval process for managers and approvers. We’ve reduced the number of clicks and brought all relevant expense details — including receipts — to the surface. Approvers can now view, approve, or decline all requests in one place, with all the relevant details easily accessible on one screen.
We’ve reduced the steps and screens required for onboarding an employee. You can now assign both department and manager in the initial stages of onboarding.
Once a manager is assigned, they can manage and/or monitor the onboarding process of their employees themselves, instead of relying on HR administration. Post onboarding, reports and lists can then be grouped by either department, manager, or both.
We’ve implemented a new summary dashboard for employee time off, allowing you to see pending time off requests, upcoming high-absence dates, and upcoming national holidays. Remote now tracks all national holidays and automatically adds them to the local employee calendar.
For countries that don’t allow payment in non-local currencies, you can designate USD in your employment contracts but still pay out in the local currency. This creates compensation stability for your employees in affected countries.
In addition to these developments, you can now:
Take advantage of deeper feature integrations with Xero
Hide columns in list views and sort by column values
Waive probation forms in several countries
Your employees can also now reopen and edit already submitted timesheets, saving both parties time and resources.
Among many other improvements, we’re working on a new, simplified billing dashboard, as well as the capability to create custom fields in your employees’ profiles.
Stay tuned for our next product update in March and, as always, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
