GDPR focus

Remote

EU hosted data

Remote stores data in Ireland so personal information benefits from the EU’s strong privacy protections.

International data transfers

When transferring data internationally, Remote either relies on adequacy decisions or applies suitable safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), and implements appropriate security measures to protect data in transit at all times.

Policies and procedures

To comply with GDPR and uphold SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards, Remote maintains strong internal policies and procedures that Data Protection and Security regularly review and update.

Training and awareness

All Remote employees must complete mandatory information security and data protection training, including our specific privacy and security processes, during onboarding and periodically thereafter. We also provide role-specific training as required and run regular company-wide initiatives to raise awareness of data protection and security.

Responding to individuals' data protection rights

Remote strives to honour data subject rights in accordance with GDPR. Where GDPR does not apply, Remote handles data protection requests in line with the relevant local law.

Accountability

Following the accountability principle, Remote demonstrates compliance through meticulous internal records and by supplying clients with service-specific, compliant documentation. Remote offers a detailed Data Processing Addendum (DPA) and keeps its Privacy Policy transparent.

Privacy by design and default

Remote builds and operates its services according to privacy by design and by default principles to protect individual rights. Embedding data protection across Remote’s business activities and services is a top priority.
