Frequently asked questions

We collect reserve payments only in uncommon, high‑risk situations. These reserves act as financial protection to ensure employees are paid even if a customer cannot meet their obligations. Some other EOR providers require extra deposits for items such as annual leave above the legal minimum, removal of probation periods, incentive schemes and monthly redundancy pay accruals. We don’t.

Employees are paid in the currency specified in their employment agreement. If the salary (or any other charges on your invoice) does not match your preferred billing currency, we convert the amount using the Remote FX rate.

The Remote FX rate may fluctuate over time and between currency pairs. The rate reflects the risks of holding assets and liabilities in multiple currencies, the costs incurred by Remote, and industry benchmarks. The Remote FX rate is highly competitive compared with other EOR and payroll providers.

Your invoice will display charges in your chosen billing currency. The Remote FX rate applied to each line item will be shown in the invoice breakdown within our platform each month.

You can use Remote to add and invite unlimited direct employees, EOR employees, and contractors, with no minimums or fees. To run payroll for your direct employees, you must use our Global Payroll product. Whether you are hiring employee number 1 or employee number 1,000, we’re here to support your scaling.

We do not charge platform, onboarding, or setup fees for our HR management, EOR, and Contractor Management products. You only pay for the product(s) you select, according to your requirements.Customers using our Payroll product pay an implementation fee to set up your entities. In addition, a recurring payroll delivery fee applies to cover the infrastructure required for timely global payouts and secure payroll file delivery. This guarantees dependable execution and transparent pricing for essential payroll operations. Talk to a Remote representative to learn more about how this applies to your setup.

Remote’s pricing is arranged to be transparent. Occasionally, extra charges may apply—but only when you request specific services, configurations, or value‑adds. These fees are always communicated in advance, tied directly to what is being delivered, and never include hidden markups. You will always know what you are paying for and why.

Yes.We own all our legal entities directly around the world and do not depend on third parties to employ workers; this helps prevent costly markups and ensures full control over service quality for our EOR product.Our Contractor Management product includes a market-leading Fair Price Guarantee, so you only pay for contractors you’re actually working with. And with Global Payroll, you can grow your team without being penalised for adding or removing employees—there are no surprise costs as your needs change.Remote’s pricing is also built to be transparent and predictable. Rather than inflating base prices or adding percentage markups, we itemise specific services and support—so you pay only for what you actually use, and nothing more
