The IPRs are assigned or transferred from the Remote local entity that provides employment services directly to you, the customer, under our Terms of Service. There are no intra-group transfers. We have established and control our employing legal entities in every country where we operate, removing any reliance on third parties for IP matters.

As the Employer of Record (EOR), we accept full responsibility for the transfer and provide an indemnity to protect you should any issue arise.

Am I guaranteed to receive my IPRs?

Yes. Clients are guaranteed to receive the IPRs originating from the employee under the Terms of Service signed by both parties. This is a material part of Remote’s obligations.

Can you provide a written assurance that Remote IP Guard works?

Yes. We hold a letter from an external law firm that can be provided to clients upon request.

Have you ever had cases when Remote IP Guard failed?

No. There has never been a reported failure of Remote IP Guard.

Does the IP Guard have any adverse effect on me as a client of Remote?

The IPRs are assigned or transferred from the employee(s) to the Remote local entity pursuant to: (a) local law — as IP created in the course of employment commonly vests automatically in the legal employer; and (b) Remote’s comprehensively drafted IP documentation, signed by the employee and the Remote local entity. These documents are prepared and periodically reviewed by qualified lawyers in the employee’s country, and you will have direct access to them on our platform.
