When your employer partners with Remote, employment is handled by one of Remote’s local entities in the country where you work. That structure provides the flexibility and expertise to deliver genuinely localised support.
Remote serves as an employer of record for companies hiring internationally. An EOR assumes responsibility for local legal obligations so the client company can legally employ staff in that jurisdiction.
Security as standard
Protecting personal information is a priority. Remote surpasses leading international data and financial security standards, so you can have peace of mind.
Your employment contract will be with Remote’s local entity in the country where you are based. For example, if you work in Singapore, your contract will be with our legal entity Remote Tech Singapore Pte. Ltd. Remote employs you locally as the employer of record on behalf of the company you work for. The client company continues to handle the business operations and day-to-day management of your role. To enable this arrangement, Remote assumes all responsibilities, obligations and tasks connected to your employment.
Whenever possible, we transfer your salary through local banking channels such as domestic wire transfers, ACH, or SEPA. If local bank transfers aren’t available in your country or for your currency, we will pay you via international wire transfer (SWIFT).
Your salary will be paid in the local currency specified in your employment contract.
Salary bank transfers are processed on the 25th of each month — you will receive your pay on or before the last working day of that month.
As the Employer of Record, Remote is your local legal employer and issues all salary payments. The client company still manages the operational and day-to-day aspects of your role.
Yes — Remote’s local entity contributes to and enrols you in local social security programs and fulfils other statutory requirements.
The specific benefits you receive depend on the choices made by your employer. These may include private health insurance, bonuses and commissions, or other bespoke perks.
Remote provides guidance on laws that might affect your ability to work in particular countries and explains the employment options available. In some locations Remote can sponsor work visas. Your employer can contact our support team to learn more and start the process.
