How Remote is supporting displaced Ukrainian citizens
The European Union has activated the Temporary Protection Directive to provide protection for Ukrainians. Twenty-seven EU member states have agreed to issue residence permits to Ukrainian citizens for one year, with an automatic extension for a further year. The directive also gives Ukrainians the right to decide where they wish to live, work and belong.

As an organisation that enables global employment opportunities, we regard it as our moral responsibility to assist refugees in regaining stability through dignified employment.
We proudly support employers who hire refugee talent, and have made it simpler by offering a substantial discount on employer on record (EOR) services. This enables any refugee talent who is legally eligible to work in a country where we have an entity to be onboarded via our platform at a lower cost to you. Alongside supporting refugee employment, we also draw attention to organisations that help employers locate refugee talent.

When you onboard an employee, you’ll be asked to confirm your eligibility by providing documentation proving the employees’ refugee status and proper right to work or work permit(s) in their host country.
The 15% discount is valid on annual credit billing only and expires 12 months after acceptance of our terms of service.
This discount applies to any company that uses Remote to hire refugee talent. The employer must present documentation proving the employees’ refugee status and the correct right to work or relevant work permit(s) in the host country, which must be different from their home country or previous country of residence.
The Remote for Refugees promotion will remain open until31 December 2026for companies and employees that qualify; at that time, Remote reserves the right to end, change, or extend this promotion with the same or new terms.
The 15% discount is valid for all employees hired by an eligible company via Remote’s EOR service for a period of 12 months from acceptance of our terms of service.
Provided the refugee has the legal right-to-work (i.e. a work permit), we can employ them in any country where we have an entity. Check ourcountry explorerfor our live countries.
