The European Union has activated the Temporary Protection Directive to extend protections to Ukrainians. Twenty-seven EU member states have agreed to issue residence permits for an initial period of 1 year, automatically extended for an additional year. This directive gives Ukrainians the right to choose where they want to live, work and belong.
The Remote for Refugees programme is available to support Ukrainians and anyone displaced by this conflict. If you want to hire Ukrainian refugees remotely, Remote can provide Employer of Record services to help you recruit and onboard refugee talent at specially reduced rates.

We’re proud to showcase some outstanding organisations that provide training, job placement and advocacy for refugees. Only by working together can we widen access to opportunity for everyone, regardless of where they are from or where they’re heading.

Global companies grow with Remote
Join customers who rely on Remote to transform their businesses.
We work with governments and refugee-support organisations to design joint solutions that directly help refugees rebuild their lives. This effort is urgent, with millions displaced from Afghanistan, Syria and other conflict-affected countries. As a company that enables global employment, we consider it our moral responsibility to help refugees regain stability through dignified work.
We proudly back employers who hire refugee talent and have made that easier by offering a significant discount on Employer of Record (EOR) services. That means any refugee talent who is legally eligible to work in a country where we have an entity can be onboarded via our platform at a reduced cost to you. Alongside supporting refugee employment, we also highlight organisations that help employers find refugee candidates.
You can begin by setting up your Remote account right away - get started here! Mention the promo code: RFR15OFF in the promo field.
When you onboard an employee, you’ll be asked to confirm eligibility by providing documentation that proves the employees’ refugee status and their legal right to work or valid work permit(s) in the host country.
The 15% discount applies to annual credit billing only and expires 12 months after you accept our terms of service.
This discount applies to any company that uses Remote to hire refugee talent. Employers must provide documentation verifying the employees’ refugee status and legal right to work or valid work permit(s) in their host country, which must differ from their home country or previous country of residence.
The Remote for Refugees promotion will remain open until 31 December 2026 for companies and employees that qualify; at that time, Remote reserves the right to end, change, or extend this promotion with the same or new terms.
The 15% discount is valid for all employees hired by an eligible company via Remote’s EOR service for a period of 12 months from acceptance of our terms of service.
So long as the refugee has the legal right to work (i.e. a work permit), we can employ them in any country where we have an entity. Check our country explorer for our live countries. If you are a refugee and you’re unsure if you have the right to work, we strongly recommend discussing your situation with your resettlement representative or local authority.
No, this offer cannot be combined with other Remote offers.
The Remote for Refugee rate is for employers wishing to hire refugee talent. If you are a refugee, we strongly encourage applying through refugee-specific job boards or speaking with refugee recruitment agencies. If you are talking with an employer, you can also let them know about this offer or note it on your CV. Remember, you must have the right to work or a valid work permit in your host country to be hired via Remote.
