About the remote influencer report
Each year we publish an updated edition that profiles the top 150 remote influencers. Whether you are new to remote work, simply exploring, or a long-time remote practitioner, this guide highlights today's most influential thinkers in remote working. To make it as practical as possible, we include resources these leaders helped produce, links to their social channels, and icons that show if they are speakers or published authors. We hope it sparks ideas, reveals opportunities, and keeps you curious!
Who are the leading remote work influencers in 2024?
The report highlights outstanding leaders whose insights can genuinely reshape how organisations approach remote work. We categorise the list into three influencer types: Remote Innovators, Enablers, and Accelerators.
These influencers sustain the remote work ecosystem; follow them to help build a more connected and improved remote working future.

What makes the remote influencer report unique?
Central to this report are individuals committed to reshaping the modern workplace. We examined how they have driven the shift towards more flexible working arrangements and how they continue to influence that change. Some have founded companies that provide the tools or training essential for remote work to operate effectively. Others concentrate their efforts on advocating a remote-first world, promoting it across every available communication channel.
Everyone included in our report is deeply passionate about remote work. They are doing the groundwork to inspire and assist others, continually learning and refining ways to adopt remote work and the tools that empower teams.
How the report is compiled
Each year we begin by reviewing our previous remote influencer reports to identify past nominees who continue to have a substantial impact on the world of remote work. We also evaluate nominations submitted by our global community throughout the year.
From there, we compile an initial roster of 225 influencers, applying the criteria below to decide whether each person qualifies:
To finalise the selection, our expert panel of judges reviews nominees within their category (innovators, enablers, or accelerators) and votes based on their experience and knowledge. The outcome is a top 150, with 50 individuals chosen for each category, who are leading the remote work movement.
- Are they advocating for remote and flexible work practices?
- Are they actively leading change or shaping others' views?
- Do they display innovative or disruptive thinking?
- Do they provide practical and accessible advice and guidance?
