In a co-employment arrangement, employer responsibilities are shared between your organisation and Remote. Remote may operate U.S. payroll, file taxes, administer benefits and manage workers' compensation. You retain authority for hiring and termination decisions, daily management and HR strategy. Employees remain on the books of your own entity.
Remote PEO is S$133 per employee per month. That is the administration fee. Healthcare premiums, workers' compensation, and state unemployment costs are billed separately at cost rather than bundled in, so you can see what you’re paying for each.
All 50 states, excluding U.S. territories. That includes the monopolistic workers' compensation states — Ohio, North Dakota, Washington and Wyoming — where Remote supports registration. Check employment requirements by state before hiring.
A PEO is a shared model, which means you cede some direct control over payroll and benefits administration and must manage the transition off the PEO later — including notice periods, reclaiming state accounts, COBRA continuity and the fate of the 401(k). A PEO best suits companies that already have a U.S. entity and are experiencing genuine headcount growth. If you do not yet have a U.S. entity, an Employer of Record is a better fit.
No. Benefits operate through the PEO's pooled plans, which allow a smaller team access to plan options and pricing it could not obtain alone. Remote then administers benefits across enrolment, changes and renewals. The trade-off is that your existing broker relationship ends upon joining.
