The IPRs are assigned or transferred from the Remote local entity, which provides employment services, directly to you, the customer, under our Terms of Service. There are no intra-group transfers. Please note that we have established and control our employing legal entities in every country where we operate, so there is no reliance on third parties for IP matters.

As the Employer of Record (EOR), we accept full responsibility for the transfer and provide an indemnity to protect you should anything go wrong.

Am I guaranteed to receive the IPRs?

Yes. Clients are guaranteed to receive the IPRs obtained from the employee via the Terms of Service signed by both parties. This is a material part of Remote’s obligation.

Can you provide a written assurance that Remote IP Guard works?

Yes. We hold a letter from an external law firm that can be supplied to clients on request.

Has Remote IP Guard ever failed?

No. There has never been a reported failure of Remote IP Guard.

Does the IP Guard have any adverse effect on me as a client of Remote?

No, because clients are covered by Remote IP Guard and are guaranteed to receive their IPRs, there are no adverse effects. This is one of the benefits of partnering with a professional EOR company.

The IPRs are assigned or transferred from the Employee(s) to the Remote local entity pursuant to: (a) local law – as IP created in the course of employment generally vests automatically in the legal employer; and (b) Remote’s thoroughly drafted IP documentation, which is signed by the employee and the Remote local entity. These documents are produced and periodically reviewed by qualified lawyers in the employee’s country, and you will have direct access to them on our platform.
