As 2021 comes to a close, I want to take a moment to thank our customers, partners, investors, and of course, the whole team at Remote for helping us achieve incredible things this year.

In 2019, we started Remote to bring better opportunities to people and companies around the world. I’m proud to say that Remote’s internal team now includes more than 600 employees in 59 countries on six continents. We have been able to expand at this rate because we can hire the best talent from anywhere in the world, enabled by our own global infrastructure and technology platform.

This growth, fueled by our Series B funding in July, has enabled us to scale our operations globally. We opened in dozens of new countries in 2021, which means Remote can now help employers hire employees and contractors in 150 countries. Our commitment to excellence demands ironclad compliance with every opening. The ability of our teams to scale so quickly without sacrificing rigor have been remarkable, and their efforts continue to ensure Remote’s customers and their employees receive a first-class experience all over the world.

None of this would have been possible without our customers. Because of the companies that have chosen Remote, thousands of people around the world now have access to better opportunities. Thank you for helping us build a world where everyone has equal access to great jobs, pay, benefits, and the freedom to live the way they want.

A huge thank you to all of our partners who have been instrumental to our growth this year. In 2021, we launched integrations with Greenhouse and BambooHR to help more companies accelerate their global hiring plans. We are working closely with several industry partners as we launch our Remote API, which will allow HR businesses to offer Remote's global employment solutions from within their own platforms. We have also added more than 90 new partners to our roster, launched a dedicated marketplace to make finding the right partner a breeze, and signed on more than 380 affiliate partners.

As part of our mission and values, we are always looking for ways to give back. I’m proud that we were able to launch our Remote for Good initiative to help companies focused on social impact grow their global teams. We also launched Remote for Refugees to offer our EOR service free to employers hiring refugee talent. Last but not least, we know remote work has a positive impact on the environment, but that impact alone is not sufficient to curb climate change. We are committed to doing more and are quickly growing our Remote forest with more than 10,000 trees planted, offsetting one ton of CO2 so far.

We have ambitious goals in 2022 to open our services in more countries, expand our offerings, and make an even greater impact on the lives of people across the globe. The last year has been one of great progress at Remote, but this is just the beginning. Thank you for joining us on this journey, and I can’t wait to share with you what will be coming next.
