This week, the world of remote work got a little bigger.

Remote is delighted to announce that we have added several new countries to our growing global network. In addition to our existing lineup, we now offer support for full-time and part-time remote workers and teams in the following regions:

  • 🇺🇸 8 new U.S. states (Arizona, California, Colorado, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Texas, Washington)

  • 🇨🇦 3 new Canadian provinces (British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Ontario)

  • 🇮🇳 India

  • 🇫🇷 France

  • 🇿🇦 South Africa

  • 🇮🇹 Italy

  • 🇪🇸 Spain

We also offer support for contractor payments all over the world.

This expansion marks a major step forward toward our goal for this year. We expect to be in more than 40 countries by the end of 2020, with at least one country in every region of the world.

Even if you operate in a country we don’t cover yet, we can still help you hire the best talent. It doesn’t matter where your business is located, as long as the workers you want to hire live in one of our covered countries. Keep an eye on our countries page to see where we are and where we plan to go next.

Remote helps businesses of all sizes pay and empower their employees, and we’re adding more countries every month. Established in Costa Rica but want to hire an engineer in South Africa? Headquartered in Thailand but looking for a French customer success agent? We can help you make it happen.

How Remote does international expansion differently

At Remote, we don’t rush development into new countries. We take the time to set up our own local legal entities in every new region. That means our customers never have to deal with intermediaries and hidden fees, while workers employed through Remote receive a first-class experience.

Businesses looking to employ in a new country must establish their own legal entities to employ local workers. Remote removes that complexity by owning the entire process. Our model guarantees secure protections for your IP and inventions while ensuring your employees feel valued at every step.

You can’t rush great relationships, but that doesn’t mean we don’t move quickly. We plan to reach dozens more countries by the end of the year. If you don’t see your desired location on our countries page, send us a tweet! We’d love to know where we can help you grow your business.

Making global employment more affordable than ever

Last month, we announced a new pricing model never seen before in our industry. One flat rate covers everything — no hidden fees, no minimum contract lengths or number of employees, no percentages on top.

Our disruptive approach to employment makes it easy for startups and small businesses to access a service that was once reserved only for large enterprises. With Remote, companies can hire one remote worker or 100, for a few months or for several years. Full-time, part-time, and contract workers are all welcome on the Remote platform.

We hope you’re as excited as we are for the future of remote work. Expanding into new countries brings us closer to our vision of a world in which talent and businesses can connect without borders or barriers. Keep an eye on Twitter and our blog for more updates.
