The IPRs are assigned or transferred from the Remote local entity, which provides employment services, directly to you, the customer, under our Terms of Service. There are no intra-group transfers. We have established and control our employing legal entities in every country where we operate, so you are not reliant on third parties for IP matters.

As the Employer of Record (EOR), we assume full responsibility for the transfer and provide an indemnity to protect you should any issues arise.

Am I guaranteed to receive my IPRs?

Yes. Clients are guaranteed to receive the IPRs originating from the employee under the Terms of Service signed by both parties. This is a material element of Remote’s obligations.

Can you provide a written assurance that Remote IP Guard works?

Yes. We hold a letter from an external law firm that can be provided to clients upon request.

Have there ever been instances where Remote IP Guard failed?

No. There have been no reports of Remote IP Guard failing.

Does the IP Guard have any adverse effect on me as a client of Remote?

No. Because clients are covered by Remote IP Guard and are guaranteed to receive their IPRs, there are no adverse effects. This is one of the advantages of partnering with a professional EOR company.

Qualified lawyers in the employee’s country prepare and regularly review this document, and you can always access it directly through our platform.
