The European Union has activated the Temporary Protection Directive to provide protection to Ukrainians. Twenty-seven EU member states have agreed to issue residence permits for an initial period of 1 year, automatically extended for an additional year. The directive allows Ukrainians to choose where they live, work and belong.
The Remote for Refugees programme supports Ukrainians and others displaced by this conflict. If you are seeking to hire Ukrainian refugees remotely, Remote can provide Employer of Record services to assist with hiring and onboarding refugee talent at specially reduced rates.

We are proud to showcase several organisations that provide refugees with training, job placement and advocacy. Only by working together can we extend opportunities to everyone, regardless of where they are, where they came from, or where they are headed.

We have partnered with governments and refugee-support organisations to develop joint solutions that directly assist refugees in rebuilding their lives. The need is pressing, with millions displaced from Afghanistan, Syria and other conflict-affected countries. As a provider of global employment solutions, we consider it our moral duty to help refugees regain stability through dignified work.
We support employers hiring refugee talent and have introduced a significant discount on Employer of Record (EOR) services. This allows any refugee who is legally authorised to work in a country where Remote has an entity to be onboarded via our platform at lower cost. In addition to facilitating employment, we highlight organisations that assist employers in locating refugee talent.
You can begin by creating your Remote account immediately - get started here! Enter the promo code: RFR15OFF in the promo field.
When you onboard an employee, you will be asked to confirm eligibility by providing documentation that verifies the employee’s refugee status and a valid right-to-work or work permit in their host country.
The 15% discount applies to annual credit billing only and expires 12 months after acceptance of our terms of service.
This discount applies to any company using Remote to hire refugee talent. Employers must present documentation confirming the employees’ refugee status and a valid right-to-work or work permit in their host country, which must be different from their home country or previous country of residence.
The Remote for Refugees promotion will remain open until 31 December 2026 for qualifying companies and employees; at that point Remote may end, amend or extend the promotion under the same or different terms.
The 15% discount applies to all employees hired by an eligible company via Remote’s EOR service for a period of 12 months from acceptance of our terms of service.
As long as the refugee has the legal right-to-work (i.e. work permit), we can employ them in any country where we have an entity. Check our country explorer for our live countries. If you are a refugee and you are unsure whether you have the right-to-work, we strongly recommend discussing your situation with your resettlement representative or local authority.
No. This offer cannot be combined with other Remote offers.
The Remote for Refugee rate is intended for employers hiring refugee talent. If you are a refugee, we encourage you to apply via refugee-specific job boards or speak with refugee recruitment agencies. If you are in conversation with an employer, tell them about this offer or add a note to your CV. Remember, you must hold the right to work or a work permit in your host country to be hired via Remote.
