We know intellectual property rights (IPRs) rank among a company's most valuable assets. When team members are working remotely across different countries, confirming ownership of those IPRs can be difficult. Remote IP Guard uses a clear two-stage process to deliver maximum protection and ownership for our clients, and the whole chain of transfer is fully transparent so you can trace the IP from the employee(s) to you.
The IPRs are transferred or assigned from the employee(s) to the Remote local entity pursuant to: (a) local law — since IP produced in the course of employment generally vests automatically in the legal employer; and (b) Remote’s comprehensively drafted IP documentation, which is signed by the employee and the Remote local entity. Those documents are prepared and routinely reviewed by qualified lawyers in the employee’s country, and you can always access them directly on our platform.
The IPRs are then assigned from the Remote local entity — the provider of employment services — straight to you under our Terms of Service. We do not use intra-group transfers. Because we establish and control our employing legal entities in every country where we operate, there is no reliance on third parties when it comes to IP.
As the Employer of Record (EOR), we accept responsibility for the transfer and provide an indemnity that protects you should anything go wrong.

We establish and own legal entities in every country where we operate, removing potential points of IP vulnerability and ensuring you retain ownership.
