The IPRs are then assigned or transferred from the Remote local entity that provides employment services directly to you, the customer, under our Terms of Service. We do not carry out intra-group transfers. We have established and control our employing legal entities in every country where we operate, so you are not dependent on third parties for IP matters.

As the Employer of Record (EOR), Remote accepts full responsibility for the transfer and provides an indemnity to cover you should anything go wrong.

Will I be guaranteed to receive my IPRs?

Yes. Clients are guaranteed to receive IPRs acquired from the employee under the Terms of Service signed by both parties. This forms a material element of Remote’s obligation.

Can you provide written assurance that Remote IP Guard works?

Yes. We hold a letter from an external law firm that can be supplied to clients on request.

Have there ever been instances where Remote IP Guard failed?

No. There has never been any report of Remote IP Guard failing.

Does the IP Guard have any adverse effect on me as a client of Remote?

No. Because clients are covered by Remote IP Guard and are guaranteed to receive their IPRs, there are no adverse effects. This is one of the advantages of working with a professional EOR company.

The IPRs are assigned or transferred from the employee(s) to the Remote local entity under: (a) local law — as IP created during employment commonly vests automatically in the legal employer; and (b) Remote’s carefully drafted IP agreements, signed by both the employee and the Remote local entity. These documents are prepared and periodically reviewed by qualified lawyers in the employee’s country, and you can access them directly on our platform.
