Remote's next chapter in global payroll

Seven years ago, Marcelo and I started Remote because we believed something simple but radical: talent is everywhere, and opportunity shouldn't depend on where you're born.

That belief hasn't changed. But what we've built to make it real? That's changed a lot.

Today, I want to share what we've been working toward — and where we're going next.

The hard stuff is the point

Over the last few years, one thing became crystal clear. Payroll is where our customers need us most. It's the hardest problem. It's the one where getting it wrong has real consequences for real people.

So that told us where to go next. Go deeper. Go harder. Solve one of the greatest challenges for companies across the globe.

And so that's what we're going to do. Remote is the modern payroll platform for any company, anywhere. We are the infrastructure that global employment runs on.

Opening Remote up

This focus also means opening Remote up so any company, tool, or AI agent can plug in directly.

Remote MCP gives any AI agent a live, secure connection to Remote's payroll, contracts, compliance data, and org structure — no API keys, no exports, no custom integrations needed. 

Remote sits as the foundation to whatever you're already using. We make global payroll easy. You keep what works. We handle the hard parts.

The mission is the same

We didn't start Remote because we wanted to sell software. We started it because everyone deserves the chance to work for the best companies in the world — and every company deserves access to the best talent, wherever they are.

That hasn't changed. What's changed is how much more possible that mission now is.

Hiring anybody, anywhere will always be our mission. And this is our next chapter. Let's go!
