For companies that need to hire and manage employees across the United States, without establishing separate legal entities in each state.
Starting at
$99
per employee/month
In a co-employment model, you and Remote share employer responsibilities. Remote can run US payroll, file taxes, administer benefits, and handle workers' compensation. You keep hiring and firing decisions, day-to-day management, and HR strategy. Your employees stay on your own entity's books.
Remote PEO is $99 per employee per month. That is the administration fee. Healthcare premiums, workers' compensation, and state unemployment costs are billed separately at cost rather than bundled in, so you can see what you’re paying for each.
All 50 states, excluding US territories. That includes the monopolistic workers' compensation states, meaning Ohio, North Dakota, Washington, and Wyoming, where Remote supports the registration. You can check employment requirements by state before you hire.
A PEO is a shared model, so you give up some direct control of payroll and benefits administration and you take on the work of moving off it later, which involves notice periods, recovering your own state accounts, COBRA continuity, and what happens to the 401(k). A PEO also suits companies with a US entity and real headcount growth. If you have no US entity yet, an employer of record fits better.
No. Benefits run through the PEO's pooled plans, which is what gives a smaller team access to plan options and pricing it could not get on its own. Remote handles benefits administration from there, across enrollment, changes, and renewals. The trade-off is that your existing broker relationship ends when you join.
