Companies expanding hiring beyond their home market for the first time rely on Remote to manage the entire process.

Our former EOR subcontracted the payroll function in that country to the lowest-cost provider, and the service was poor. Transferring staff from the previous EOR to Remote was effortless. Because Remote maintains its own entities in each country, you are officially part of Remote—not an unfamiliar third party.

Remote provides country-specific legal counsel and tax teams through a single point of contact. I no longer have to pay excessive fees or manage these matters personally. It simplifies the process and improves efficiency.

We outsource what matters most to us: the communication, guidance and care for our people. That demands a high level of trust in our partner. If something goes wrong, colleagues perceive it as our relationship, not Remote’s. Our work with Remote is a true collaboration.

Remote widens our options, removing location constraints so we can make the best hiring decisions for the business.

Employer of Record FAQs

An employer of record, or EOR, is a firm that becomes the legal employer for an individual in a country where you do not have an entity. Remote signs and maintains the employment contract, processes payroll, withholds taxes and provides benefits in line with that country’s law. You retain responsibility for the work: assigning tasks, setting pay and managing the person’s day-to-day activities, just as you would any other team member.
