Introducing Remote's new mission & brand: Pay the world

Our mission here at Remote can be distilled into three words: pay the world. Our new brand identity, which we’re launching today, now reflects that.

A few months ago, we shared that we were going all in on solving the hard problems. Hiring and paying people compliantly is really hard and for global businesses, it will always be a non-negotiable.

That’s why we set out to build a financial operating system for the global workforce to help businesses stay compliant and help people around the world get paid on time, correctly, in their currency.

Our new bet is on infrastructure: be the authoritative system of record for people data, run payroll globally, and make that foundation accessible to anything — AI agents, third-party tools, or custom apps you build yourself.

Today, we’re introducing a brand that matches the ambition and innovation of what we’re building. We’re super excited to share it with the world.

A visual identity built from what we actually do

We’ve updated our logo, wordmark, typeface, colors, and imagery like photography and illustrations. Our platform has a new look and feel, but it remains the same global payroll, EOR, and contractor management infrastructure that you know and trust to pay people worldwide.

The Remote logo is the anchor of our brand. It conveys stability and confidence, suggestive of how Remote simplifies complexity to make payroll simple and efficient. And the mark is a system in itself: horizontal and vertical lockups, and a geometric construction that holds from a billboard down to a favicon.

Instead of choosing just one brand color, the color palette of our new brand is inspired by international banknotes and leverages a spectrum of vibrant reds, oranges, greens, blues, and violets to reflect the 77+ different currencies with which Remote makes sure the world gets paid.

The central element of our brand’s graphic language is a cube, which nods to the infrastructure that Remote is building. Infrastructure is always made of a repeated unit — a brick, a shipping container, a pallet — and while the unit is unremarkable on its own, together they can be stacked, extended, and combined into something far larger and more powerful.

The cube works three ways: flat line drawings for diagrams and data, a one-point perspective version where the rear of the cube stretches toward a single vanishing point, and an isometric version that holds its shape in every dimension. Cubes snap together, rotate, stack, extrude, and merge into larger structures, so no two compositions are quite the same. However many cubes a composition holds, every perspective edge has to converge toward the same vanishing point — many parts, one system.

We’re building the infrastructure to pay the world

As we roll out this new visual identity system, we will keep building the hard things:

  • Accurate, truly local payroll. The work may be global, but payday is still local. We’re solving for depth: deep local expertise in tax rules, labor laws, contributions, deductions and filing deadlines in every jurisdiction. We’re also solving for breadth, serving as many markets as possible. At the core are payroll engines that we are building, so we make sure payroll is accurate, compliant, and backed by one accountable partner.
  • Payroll that runs itself. You shouldn’t need large teams or constant stress to get payroll done. We want to become the most efficient payroll company in the world, powered by deep expertise and technology. That means automating the routine work and bringing in people only where judgment matters, so payday happens on time without anyone having to chase it.
  • Time as the foundation. Time tracking is the most important input to payroll, and a truly local, end-to-end Time and Payroll solution across 50+ countries has never been built. It's extremely hard, and we want to be the ones to solve it.
  • One system of record underneath it all. An authoritative record of your people, with granular permissions, a full audit trail, built-in reporting and room to model how you actually work. It powers payroll in every country we operate in and connects directly to your systems and agents.

Seven years ago, Marcelo and I started Remote because we believed something simple but radical: talent is everywhere, and opportunity shouldn't depend on where you're born.

That belief only holds if payday works. You can hire the best person for the job wherever they live, and none of it means much if the money doesn't arrive correctly, on time, in their currency.

So that's what we’re doing and it's what all of this is in service of. Build the hard part, and the world becomes one workforce. Come build with us.
