Remote directly employs the person you hire through our own local entity. There is no third company acting as an intermediary.

  • Uncapped indemnity for employment services

Uncapped indemnity for Employment Services applies to claims resulting from Remote’s breach of its obligations or warranties.

  • Local teams supporting yours

Remote employees based in the same market support your team rather than a partner network. Our in-country specialists have, on average, over 10 years’ local experience.

Organisations hiring overseas for the first time turn to Remote to manage it.

Our former EOR had subcontracted the payroll for that country to the cheapest provider they could find, which produced poor service. Transferring staff from the previous EOR to Remote was straightforward. Because Remote maintains its own entities in each country, you are part of Remote, not handed to an unknown third party.

Remote provides access to country-specific legal advisers and tax teams via a single point of contact. I no longer need to pay exorbitant fees or handle these matters myself. It considerably simplifies the process and improves efficiency.

Sophie BrügmannHead of operations, Lessmore

We are entrusting something very valuable to an external team: the communication, guidance and welfare of our staff. That is extremely important and requires a great deal of trust in our partner. Should anything go wrong, our colleagues regard it as our responsibility rather than Remote's. Our relationship with Remote is a genuine collaboration.

Remote broadens our options, allowing us to remove location as a constraint and make the best hiring decisions for the business.

Employer of Record FAQs

An employer of record, or EOR, is an organisation that legally employs someone on your behalf in a country where you do not have an entity. Remote holds the employment contract, processes payroll, deducts taxes, and administers benefits in accordance with that country's law. You direct the work, determine the pay, and manage the person day to day, just as you would any other member of your team.
