No. There are no setup or onboarding fees, and the Remote Platform is included at no extra cost on every plan.
We don’t charge a standard deposit or deposit fee. In certain circumstances, Remote may require a refundable reserve payment to cover potential employment-related obligations. This is not a fee—the funds remain yours and are credited or refunded when they’re no longer needed. If a reserve applies, we’ll confirm the amount during onboarding and disclose it before payment is required. Any unused balance is credited or refunded when it’s no longer required, subject to any outstanding payments..
When your billing currency differs from the local currency used for payroll or statutory payments, Remote applies the Remote FX rate. We establish a single rate for each monthly billing cycle and display it in your invoice breakdown prior to payment. That rate stays fixed for the cycle, so Remote—not you—absorbs any exchange-rate movement over that period, providing predictable payroll costs without subsequent true-ups or adjustments.
