Frequently asked questions

We only collect reserve payments in exceptional, high-risk situations. This type of financial security allows us to pay employees if a customer is unable to settle their account. Some other EOR providers require additional deposits to provide annual leave above the statutory minimum, remove probation periods, offer incentive schemes and accrue monthly redundancy pay. We do not.

Employees are paid in the currency of their employment agreement. If the salary (or any other items on your invoice) differs from your preferred billing currency, we convert that amount using the Remote FX rate.

The Remote FX rate may fluctuate over time and between currency pairs. The rate reflects the risks of holding assets and liabilities in different currencies, the costs incurred by Remote, and relevant industry benchmarks. The Remote FX rate is highly competitive compared with other EOR and payroll providers.

Your invoice will display the charges in your chosen billing currency. The Remote FX rate used for each line item will be visible in the invoice breakdown on our platform every month.

You may use Remote to add and invite unlimited direct employees, EOR staff and contractors, with no minimum requirements or fees. To run payroll for your direct employees, you must use our Global Payroll product. Whether you are recruiting your first employee or your 1,000th, we are here to support your growth.

There are no platform, onboarding or setup fees for our HR management, EOR and Contractor Management products. You pay only for the product(s) you choose, based on your needs.Customers using our Payroll product incur an implementation charge to set up your entities, plus a recurring payroll delivery fee that reflects the infrastructure required to support timely global payouts and secure payroll file delivery. This provides dependable execution and clear pricing for essential payroll operations. Talk to a Remote representative to learn more about how this applies to your setup.

Remote’s pricing is intended to be transparent. In some instances, additional charges may apply—but only when you request specific services, configurations or value-added options. These fees are always communicated in advance, directly linked to what is being provided, and never include hidden mark-ups. You will always know what you are paying for and why.

And with Global Payroll, you can expand your team without being penalised for adding or removing employees—there are no surprise costs as your needs change.Remote’s pricing is structured to be transparent and predictable. Rather than inflating baseline prices or applying percentage mark-ups, we itemise specific services and support—so you only pay for what you actually use, and nothing extra.
