Does the provider own its entities?

What's included in the price?

There are no hidden fees — one price includes all payroll, tax, benefits, compliance management, and 24/7 local customer support. Plus, contractor management is $29 per contractor per month in more than 170 countries.
Papaya Global’s pricing for full employees starts at $650 before accounting for extra fees. Pricing changes depending on the number of employees you plan to employ. There is also an onboarding fee for each employee, equal to an additional month’s payment.
For contractors, Papaya Global charges at least $25 per contractor per pay cycle.

Remote has our own legal entities in every country where we operate, enabling us to provide comprehensive localized services with unmatched support for global employees.
Remote takes care of localized payroll, benefits, taxes, and compliance wherever your team works. You never have to worry about paperwork with local authorities. Remote assists with visas and immigration as well.
Papaya Global does not own legal entities, instead relying on third parties to employ your workers. While this does allow Papaya Global to operate in more countries more quickly, the result is a more expensive service and an unreliable experience for your workforce. Papaya Global does not directly manage payroll, benefits, and taxes, instead relying on its partners. Unlike Remote, Papaya Global does not offer assistance with visas or immigration.
Contractor management
Remote offers invoicing and payments for contractors in more than 170 countries for a low cost of $29 per contractor per month. You can manage contractors and employees together in one platform, with localized contracts, tax management, document management, and expert guidance. We will meet you where you are today and help you scale as you expand globally.
Papaya Global also offers contractor management, charging a minimum of $25 per contractor per month.
Payroll
Remote's global payroll service takes the thinking out of paying your international employees. With simple, transparent pricing, a delightful self-serve platform, and expert support, you'll be running global payroll in minutes, with confidence.
Papaya Global also offers multi-country payroll services. Papaya doesn't share the countries available, or full pricing information, and has a list of additional out-of-scope costs, including payroll support costs.
IP protections
Remote takes the protection of your intellectual property seriously. We developed Remote IP Guard to provide you with peace of mind, no matter where your team members work. Our unique IP management and transfer process guarantees the maximum protections and security. Because we do not rely on third parties, your IP belongs to you from the beginning.
Papaya Global relies heavily on third parties for intellectual property transfers. Unlike Remote, your IP must pass from a third party to Papaya Global and then to you, or directly from a third party to you. You do not get to choose which company possesses your IP in the interim, and you receive no guarantee that the processes these third parties follow will provide you with the necessary protection under local laws.
Data security

We are GDPR and SOC 2 compliant and follow rigorous internal security measures to keep the data of your team and your company safe.
