The Marketing team is the engine that powers Remote's expansion. Through product marketing, performance marketing, events, communications, campaigns, and content, our team tells the world about Remote to bring in revenue and establish Remote as the international leader in global HR and remote work.
What you bring
Historically, success in this position has also required intellectual leadership, comfort in dealing with ambiguity, and good collaboration, teaming, and consensus-building abilities. Your peers will typically have:
- Extensive experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, or management consulting with a proven track record at a management level
- Experience managing complex projects and leading virtual teams
- Deep expertise in product/service pricing and financial modeling
- Previous experience in building business plans and entry/growth strategies
- Proficiency in developing and delivering Executive Level presentations
- Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing teams of senior resources in fast-growth environments.
- Proficiency with CRM software and digital marketing tools, with a deep understanding of contemporary marketing techniques.
- A visionary, creative, and entrepreneurial mindset with a strong analytical foundation.
- Experience managing Managers.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in B2B SaaS technology marketing working closely with sales teams.
- Familiar with working on a remote or distributed team. It's not required to have experience working remotely, but considered a plus.
- A sense of humor.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and lead comprehensive marketing strategies to ensure products meet market needs, are optimally positioned, and achieve ambitious revenue and market share goals.
- Define, own, and execute strategies to engage different customer segments effectively. Leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to inform strategic decisions (e.g., messaging, positioning) aimed at driving customer acquisition, retention, and conversion.
- Serve as a thought leader and partner to cross-functional teams—collaborate with product managers, sales, design, PR, engineering, and marketing leads to drive successful product launches and shape go-to-market strategies.
- Spearhead efforts to understand and influence the entire customer lifecycle, aligning marketing initiatives with overall business goals.
- Team Management:
- Build and lead a world-class Product Marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and performance excellence.
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and training of new team members, ensuring the team is equipped to meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Set ambitious yet achievable team goals, track performance, and drive accountability.
- Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships across teams, promoting alignment and shared success.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a key liaison with sales and product development teams to design impactful marketing programs and materials.
- Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate contracts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Regularly present marketing strategies, performance metrics, and key outcomes to senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations.
- Drive cross-functional alignment, working closely with Product, Sales, Design, and Operations teams to achieve strategic objectives.
- Marketing Campaigns and Programs:
- Develop compelling product positioning and messaging rooted in deep market research, competitive analysis, and industry expertise.
- Create and scale partner programs, incentives, and offers to drive sustained engagement and results.

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.
The base salary range for this full-time position is between $266,700 - $400,000 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
