About the role

This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal impact in the global employment space joining our Benefits team as Interim Manager: Benefits Operations.

This people manager role is part of the EOR (Employer of Record) Operations team. As a critical extension of our clients’ HR teams, EOR Ops team members navigate and advise on the intricate paths of global employment with unmatched speed, expertise, and precision in over 90+ countries. On this team, your work directly influences our ability to sustain and extend our benefits coverage, continuously enhance our customer journeys, and significantly increase our operational capacity.

As a dynamic and curious professional, you will own the planning, implementation and service level for Benefits Operations management as responsible for one of our regional Operational teams.

You will report to our Director of Benefits.

Key responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the recruitment, training, skills enhancement, mentoring, supervision and coaching of one of the regional Benefits Operations team to support their development, performance and growth
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point on all Benefits related topics to Benefits team members, internal stakeholders, Remote prospects and clients
  • Work closely and effectively with Product, Engineering, Automation, Payroll, Finance, Tax, Legal, Sales, Customer Success and the broader EOR Operations teams to ensure scalability, accuracy, and data integrity
  • Improve & optimise Benefits Operations team’s processes, existing workflows and tools including identifying opportunities for automation to improve quality, efficiency and drive scale
  • Ensure Remote's service delivery is fully compliant together with Legal
  • Support reporting, audit, compliance, and data integrity initiatives
  • Deliver superior value to Remote's employees and clients
  • Guarantee no cost / revenue leakage in paying for / recharging Benefits to customers
  • Be able to go from “scout to scale” and actually start things up
  • Be an internal and external champion of Remote's values and Benefits team's goals

The ideal candidate

  • You have hands-on people management experience, with a coaching mindset. You are passionate about team-work and developing people
  • You have progressive experience in HR Operations across multiple countries, with a deep knowledge of Benefits plans in US, Canada and LATAM countries
  • You are passionate about accomplishing goals and ensuring quality and can demonstrate experience in customer facing roles with service level metrics management and an emphasis on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
  • You are able to quickly adapt to a fast-paced, international, scale-up environment
  • You’re tech savvy and have experience working with a variety of digital tools
  • You can safely manage and maintain employee data and confidential information, adhering to established protocols, and ensuring utmost professionalism and discretion in handling and accessing such information
  • You write and speak fluent English
