Remote's dedicated Data protection officer (DPO) supported by the Data Protection team work closely with the Security and Legal teams to proactively monitor the applicable data protection regulations worldwide to ensure compliance.

Remotefocuses on compliance with EU GDPR as a worldwide benchmark for data protection management and operates in accordance with the EU GDPR principles relating to processing of personal data.

Remote hosts its data in Ireland, allowing personal data to benefit from the robust protection of the EU's privacy framework.

For international data transfers, Remote relies on adequacy decisions or ensures that transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF). To protect the confidentiality of the transferred data, appropriate security measures are implemented for data in transit at all times.

To ensure compliance with GDPR and meet SOC 2 and ISO 27001 security standards, Remote has implemented robust internal policies and procedures that undergo regular review and updates by both Data Protection and Security at Remote.

All Remote employees undergo mandatory training on information security and data protection including our specific privacy and security protocols during onboarding and at regular intervals. We supplement this with department-specific training as needed, along with regular company-wide data protection and security training and awareness initiatives.

Remote is committed to fulfilling data subject rights in line with GDPR requirements. Where GDPR is not applicable, Remote facilitates the data protection requests according to the applicable law.

In line with the principle of accountability, Remote is committed to demonstrating compliance through both diligent internal record-keeping and the provision of compliant, service-specific documentation to our clients. Remote provides clients with a comprehensive Data Processing Addendum (DPA) and maintains a transparent Privacy Policy.
