The European Union has invoked the Temporary Protection Directive to provide protection for Ukrainian nationals. Twenty-seven EU member states have agreed to issue residence permits for one year, with an automatic extension for a further year. This directive allows Ukrainians to choose where they want to live, work and belong.
The Remote for Refugees initiative supports Ukrainians and anyone displaced by this conflict. If you’re looking to employ Ukrainian refugees remotely, Remote can offer Employer of Record services to help you hire and onboard refugee talent at specially reduced rates.

We’re proud to showcase some exceptional organisations that provide refugees with training, job placement and advocacy. Working together is the only way we’ll broaden opportunity for everyone, no matter where they are from or where they’re headed.

We’ve collaborated with governments and organisations that support refugees to develop practical solutions that help people rebuild their lives. This effort is urgent given the millions displaced from Afghanistan, Syria and other conflict zones. As a company enabling global employment, we consider it our moral duty to support refugees into dignified work.
We back employers who hire refugee talent and have simplified the process by offering a meaningful discount on Employer of Record (EOR) services. Any refugee who is legally allowed to work in a country where we have an entity can be onboarded via our platform at a reduced cost. We also highlight organisations that help employers find refugee candidates.
You can begin by creating your Remote account straight away - get started here! Mention the promo code: RFR15OFF in the promo field.
When you onboard an employee, you’ll be required to confirm eligibility by supplying documentation that proves the employee’s refugee status and their right to work or valid work permit(s) in the host country.
The 15% discount applies to annual credit billing only and remains valid for 12 months after you accept our terms of service.
This discount is open to any company that uses Remote to hire refugee talent. Employers must present documentation confirming employees’ refugee status and the legal right to work or valid work permit(s) in their host country, which must differ from their home country or previous country of residence.
The Remote for Refugees promotion will remain available until 31 December 2026 for qualifying companies and employees; at that point, Remote may choose to end, modify or extend the promotion under the same or new terms.
The 15% discount applies to all employees hired by an eligible company through Remote’s EOR service for 12 months from acceptance of our terms of service.
Provided a refugee has the legal right to work (for example, a valid work permit), we can employ them in any country where we have an entity. Check our country explorer for our up-to-date list of countries. If you are a refugee and uncertain about your right to work, we strongly advise discussing your situation with your resettlement representative or local authority.
No, this offer cannot be combined with other Remote promotions.
This rate is aimed at employers seeking to hire refugee talent. If you are a refugee, we encourage you to apply via refugee-specific job boards or speak with refugee recruitment agencies about opportunities. If you’re already in discussions with an employer, you can tell them about this offer or note it on your CV. Remember, you must have the right to work or a valid work permit in your host country to be hired via Remote.
