Remote now supports automatic calculation of tax-free per diem limits for employees based in Switzerland. This update streamlines the expense submission process, ensuring compliance with local regulations while simplifying the experience for users.

Employees can submit their daily expenses seamlessly, eliminating manual calculations and reducing potential errors. Access these features directly in the expense submission section of your dashboard.

🎖️ Contractor of Record: Now Available for Saudi Arabia and Bulgaria

This update introduces the Contractor of Record (COR) feature now available for contractors in Saudi Arabia and Bulgaria, enhancing our global capabilities. Contractors located in Bulgaria will be required to input their BULSTAT number for compliance with local regulations.

In Saudi Arabia, the COR product is exclusively accessible to national contractors who must engage through a recognized business entity.

🔮 Payroll: Direct Receipt Upload for Bulk Expenses

You can now upload receipts directly within the bulk uploader without the need for publicly accessible URLs. This update streamlines the expense reporting process, allowing you to drop a CSV and corresponding receipt files directly into the uploader.

The system features AI auto-matching that scans files and maps receipts to the correct expense rows asynchronously, enabling a faster review flow. You can verify matches and view receipts through an image previewer, making it easier to manage your document uploads.

🌟 PEO: Bulk Onboarding Feature

This release introduces the Bulk Onboarding feature for PEO, allowing you to upload a CSV of new hires and efficiently complete the onboarding process for multiple employees at once. The feature incorporates in-app field mapping and validation steps, ensuring accurate data alignment throughout the onboarding workflow.

Key enhancements include a streamlined CSV upload with a built-in mapping step to maintain data integrity, preventing common mismatches. You can onboard large cohorts in seconds or minutes, drastically reducing the time previously spent on manual data entry.

⚡ Payroll: Bulk Add Custom Field Options

You can now easily add multiple custom field select options in bulk by simply comma separating the items. This enhancement significantly streamlines the process of managing custom fields, saving valuable time and improving efficiency.

Access this feature directly in your Payroll settings under Custom Fields.

🛠️ Performance Management: Enhanced Filtering and Rating Distribution

This update enhances the manager experience in the Team Performance area with significant improvements to the filter and rating distribution graph. Managers can now filter performance reviews by self and manager ratings, assessment statuses, and locations. All ratings are visible directly in the table, and support for Job Catalog data has been added.

Moreover, all applied filters are now synchronized with the rating distribution graph, making it easier to visualize performance across different groups. A planned feature will allow filtering down specific reporting lines for more granular insights into team performance.

⭐ AI Chatbot: Introduction of Payslip Breakdown Feature

You can now access the *Payslip Breakdown* feature in our AI Chatbot, providing detailed insights into your payslips. Whenever you have questions regarding your pay, such as discrepancies in net pay or inquiries about tax deductions, you can get personalized answers based on your actual payslip data.

For example, you can ask the chatbot questions like: "Why is my net pay different this month?" or "What are the tax deductions on my payslip?" This enhancement streamlines payroll-related queries, allowing you to better understand your compensation.

🔮 PEO: Multi-Entity Support Added

This update introduces multi-entity support for our PEO product, allowing companies to create and manage multiple PEO legal entities, each with a distinct Employer Identification Number (EIN). During the onboarding process of PEO employees, you can now easily select from all active PEO entities, with the default entity pre-selected for convenience.

This enhancement simplifies the workflow for managing multiple entities and improves overall operational efficiency. You can access this feature directly during employee onboarding within the PEO setup.

Week of November 17-23

🚨 Org Chart: New Member Details Drawer

You can now access a new details drawer in the Org Chart that allows you to quickly view essential information for each team member, including their location, department, start date, manager, and direct reports. This streamlined access improves visibility and enables you to navigate directly to employee profiles with ease.

Additionally, the reports button has been refined to provide a more compact view of total and direct reports, enhancing your navigation efficiency within the org chart. You can find these updates integrated seamlessly in your existing org chart interface.

💡 Recruit: Immediate Cancellation for Plans

You can now cancel Recruit plans immediately at the time of cancellation, whether done by the admin or the customer. This change simplifies the cancellation process, enhancing your overall experience.

Previously, cancellations were set to take effect at the end of the month, but all customers have now transitioned from Recruit up-front to Recruit in-arrears, allowing for this immediate impact. Updated documentation is available to guide you in managing cancellations more effectively.

💪 Automations: Document Request Feature

Employers now have the ability to streamline their workflow automations by adding a new action to "request a document" from employees. This feature allows employers to efficiently collect necessary documents directly through the employee's profile, specifically in the "Files" tab where they can also view any pending requests.

This enhancement simplifies the documentation process and improves overall communication regarding document submission.

⚡ Pricing Plans: Enhanced Flexibility for HRIS, Perform, PEO, and Recruit

This update introduces the ability to allow changes to pricing plans for HRIS, Perform, PEO, and Recruit after activation. Previously, this functionality was limited to EOR, CM, and GP pricing plans. With this enhancement, users can now manage their subscriptions more flexibly, ensuring they can adjust their plans according to their evolving business needs.

🎯 Global Payroll & HRIS: Customizable Public Holidays Update

Company admins using Global Payroll and HRIS can now customize public holidays to better align with their internal company policies. The system now automatically generates regional holidays for employees in supported countries, streamlining the process and eliminating the need for manual entries by employees.

This update addresses previous concerns where Remote's default public holiday calendars did not match clients' internal requirements.

Additionally, we have plans to automatically approve mandatory 2026 holidays for all GP/HRIS customers in the coming days, expand regional holiday functionality to more countries, and implement extra validation for adding public holidays on key payroll dates.

🥇 Admin Panel: Enhanced Customer Pricing History

Admin users can now access a complete history of customer pricing plans. Previously, only active plans were visible, which limited the ability to review past pricing strategies. Now, with the new 'Show terminated plans' toggle feature, Admins can effortlessly switch views to include terminated pricing plans for all products, enhancing their ability to analyze and strategize pricing effectively.

🎀 Expense Tracker: Streamlined Submission Process

Introducing a streamlined single expense submission process, where you can now upload a receipt, and our Remote AI will automatically fill in the form, reducing the submission process to just two clicks. This is among other visual and UX improvements.

🔥 Notifications: Slack Direct Messages Integration

We are excited to announce that you can now receive notifications via Slack direct messages. This enhancement allows important alerts to be easily accessible, ensuring that critical information is less likely to be overlooked.

🚨 Work Management System: New Work Confirmation Flow

We are excited to announce the introduction of a new Work Confirmation flow in our system. This feature empowers customers to review and approve contractor work before invoicing, significantly enhancing accountability and ensuring that all work meets client expectations prior to billing. By enabling this review process, we aim to improve customer satisfaction and streamline the invoicing workflow. For more details, please refer to our documentation.

🔧 Contractor Profile: New SOW Contract Creation Feature

Statement of Work (SOW) contracts can now be created directly from the contractor profile. This enhancement allows users to easily manage services, deliverables, compensation, and service duration for COR contractors, streamlining the contract process.

🎹 One Company Login: Enhanced Features Released

We have re-launched the One Company Login feature, now enhanced with a new Personal Email field for every employee account. This improvement allows for a single account per user. Soon, we will also introduce tools for employers to manage and update their employees’ login emails directly.

⭐ Payroll: Introduction of No Login Mode

🚀 Say hello to “No login mode” — also known as silent mode — one of the most in-demand features from our global payroll customers. 🌍

With this new option, employees synced from HRIS can now be managed without needing to log in to Remote. They stay in silent mode — meaning they don’t receive invites or notifications, but their data stays fully synced and ready for payroll processing.

Customers now can easily enable or disable this feature right from integration settings - both on integration level and on each employee level as well.

💎 Contract Management: Introduction of Carryover Fields

We have introduced Carryover Fields in Contract Details, enhancing flexibility for managing annual leave. Employers can now configure rules for unused paid time off (PTO), including options for maximum carryover days, expiration policies, and expiry timeframes. The Carryover Fields functionality is now available for clients in Canada, Cyprus, Indonesia, Israel, the Philippines, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Vietnam across EOR, GP, and HRIS services.

🎭 Time Off Management: Calendar Sync Feature Released

This update introduces a new feature allowing employees to easily sync their approved time off with their personal calendars. Employees can now utilize iCal links to integrate their approved absences into Google, Outlook, and Apple Calendars. Additionally, managers will have the ability to sync their direct reports' approved time off, ensuring better visibility and management of team schedules. The employee view showcases their respective leave types, while the manager view highlights their team members' names with leave types generalized as "Out of Office" to maintain privacy. This feature respects user permissions, ensuring that managers can only access information related to their direct reports. This enhancement aims to streamline the leave management process and improve overall team collaboration and planning.

🚨 Expense Management System: New Multiple Expense Submission Flow

We are excited to announce the launch of a new multiple expense submission flow designed to streamline the expense reporting process for all employees. This feature allows users to submit multiple expenses simultaneously by simply dragging and dropping their receipts into the platform. Our system will automatically scan, read, and fill out the necessary forms, enabling employees to create multiple expense entries at once with ease. This update not only enhances user convenience but also significantly reduces the time spent on expense reporting, allowing employees to focus more on their work. We encourage everyone to try out this new feature and share their feedback with us to help improve further iterations of our expense management system.

🚀 Ask an Expert: Expanded Accessibility and Enhanced Features

We are excited to announce the latest updates to our Ask an Expert feature, expanding its availability and enhancing user experience. Previously limited to EOR, Ask an Expert is now accessible for Payroll, HRIS, PEO, and Recruit users, allowing for a broader range of inquiries and support. This update introduces more conversation topics within the user interface, enabling users to engage in diverse discussions relevant to their specific needs. Additionally, we have revamped the Calendly form to accommodate all these new conversation topics, streamlining the process for users to book appointments and get the assistance they require.

🚀 Expenses Bulk Uploader Enhancements

Employers can now easily upload expenses in bulk with a new feature that allows them to map CSV columns directly to the platform's schema columns. This enhancement streamlines the process of importing data, ensuring accuracy and saving time for users managing large volumes of expenses.
