Risks of misclassification

Kosovo, like many other countries, treats self-employed individuals or contractors and full-time employees differently. Misclassification of contractors in Kosovo may lead to fines and penalties for the offending company.

Employing in Kosovo

Kosovo’s employment regulations are laid out in the country’s Labour Law.

Like much of Europe, typical working hours are considered to be eight hours per day or 40 hours per week.

Minimum wage

The minimum wage in Kosovo is €170 per month for employees aged between 35 and 65, and €130 for those under 35.This is subject to a yearly change.
