That’s why we’re excited to launch Remote’s new Global Wellness and LifeStyle Benefit, a flexible, personalized way to support your team’s physical and mental well-being.

How the Wellness and LifeStyle Benefit works

Offered in partnership with ThanksBen, this new benefit allows employers to fund a monthly wellness allowance for team members in 65+ countries. Employees can use their Wellness Benefit Wallet for a wide range of services and subscriptions, from therapy and fitness to groceries and streaming apps.

Whether your employee is into working out or guided meditation, Spotify or organic produce, they now have the freedom to choose what well-being means to them.

Employees receive a virtual card through ThanksBen’s platform (available on mobile and desktop) that they can use on purchases that support their wellness goals.

Here’s how it works:

  • Employers choose a monthly contribution amount per employee (from $25 to $300)
  • Employees are automatically enrolled and can start spending from the first of the following month
  • Cards are topped up monthly and can be used via Apple Pay or Google Pay
  • Funds are issued in USD and converted to local currency using Mastercard exchange rates
  • The benefit ends on the last day of an employee’s final month of employment

What can employees spend it on?

Team members can use their Wellness Benefit Wallet on the ThanksBen platform by selecting from the existing range of benefits, or off the platform by adding their Ben card to their smartphone wallet.

Once added, the card functions like a standard payment card and can be used at eligible health and lifestyle retailers within the specified categories.

Some examples of wellness and lifestyle options available on the ThanksBen’s card include:

  • Gym memberships and fitness classes
  • Therapy sessions and mental health apps
  • Mindfulness and meditation subscriptions
  • Streaming services like Spotify or Netflix
  • Groceries, personal development tools, and more

Plus, employees get personalized recommendations based on their preferences, and 24/7 support if they need help.
