Termination process
Employers who’re laying off less than five employees must notify the appropriate labour representative before letting them go, while employers must receive approval from the Ministry of Labour before laying off five or more employees.
Notice period
Notice periods in Angola range from 30 days for general employees to 60 days for technicians and executives.
Severance pay
Employees are entitled to a month’s salary for every year worked until the fifth year, and half a month’s pay for each subsequent year.
Probation periods
There’s no fixed probation period but it’s typically around two months.
