Frequently asked questions

In uncommon, high-risk situations we collect reserve payments. This financial safeguard lets us pay employees if a customer cannot meet their obligations. Some other EOR providers demand extra deposits to cover annual leave above the legal minimum, remove probation periods, include incentive plans or accrue monthly redundancy pay. We do not.

Employees receive payment in the currency specified in their employment contract. When the salary (or any other line on your invoice) differs from your chosen billing currency, we convert the amount using the Remote FX rate.

The Remote FX rate can change over time and between currency pairs. It reflects the risks of holding assets and liabilities in different currencies, Remote's operating costs, and market benchmarks. The Remote FX rate is competitively priced against other EOR and payroll providers.

Your invoice will display charges in your selected billing currency. The Remote FX rate applied to each line item appears in the invoice breakdown on our platform each month.

You can use Remote to add and invite unlimited direct employees, EOR employees and contractors — there are no minimums or required fees. To run payroll for your direct employees, you must use our Global Payroll product. Whether you are recruiting your first employee or your 1,000th, we can help you scale.

We do not charge platform, onboarding or setup fees for our HR management, EOR and Contractor Management products. You only pay for the product(s) you select, based on your requirements.For customers using our Payroll product, an implementation fee applies to set up your entities. There is also a recurring payroll delivery fee to cover the infrastructure needed for punctual global payouts and secure payroll file delivery. This guarantees dependable execution and clear pricing for essential payroll processes. Talk to a Remote representative to learn more about how this applies to your setup.

Remote’s pricing is intended to be transparent. On occasion, extra charges may be applicable — but only when you request particular services, configurations or value-adds. These fees are always communicated up front, linked directly to the deliverables, and never include hidden mark-ups. You will always know what you are paying for and why.

This approach avoids expensive mark‑ups and lets us maintain control over service quality for our EOR product.Our Contractor Management product includes a market‑leading Fair Price Guarantee, so you only pay for contractors you are actively working with. And with Global Payroll, you can expand your team without being penalised for adding or removing employees — there are no unexpected charges as your requirements evolve.Remote’s pricing is structured to be transparent and predictable. Rather than inflating base prices or applying percentage mark‑ups, we itemise specific services and support — so you only pay for what you actually use, and nothing more
