Sam is the General Counsel of Remote. He was previously General Counsel at ComplyAdvantage and WorldRemit, where he was the first lawyer and created the Legal function from scratch. Before that, Sam worked at Barclays as a VP Lawyer in Operations & Technology Legal, and before that trained and qualified at media and tech firm Olswang. Sam is a board member and Chair of the Finance & Audit Committee for Youth Music, a large UK national charity.
Mike Wu is Deputy General Counsel at Carta. He’s also served as Carta’s first lawyer, Head of People, and Chief of Staff. Prior to Carta, he spent 4 years at Cooley LLP. In 2012, Carta started helping private companies manage their cap tables. Since then, they have expanded into valuations, compliance, and investor services. Now supporting over 12,000 private and public companies, and 800,000 unique shareholders. Their valuations team has appraised over $200 billion in private assets.
