For organisations looking to hire in Belarus, the first step is to understand the employment laws and labour code of Belarus. Employment contracts can be drawn up for an indefinite term, a fixed term, or for a temporary period. Regulations are often updated and there were several amendments made to the country’s labour code in 2020. There has been a recent addition to the code of a new section (Section 25-1) covering the approach employers must take with regards to remote work.

The following are only guidelines in the broadest sense, and professional legal services are recommended when employing in Belarus.

Minimum Wage

In Belarus, the minimum wage is 626 rubles Belarusian Rubles per month.

Payroll Cycle

For customers of Remote, all employee payments will be made in equal bi-monthly instalments, payable in arrears.
